TEAM VESPA
My build goal is to have two engines - one that's super reliable and one that's super fast. The reliable engine I'll be running is one I've been running for thousands of miles and discovered numerous weak points on which I'll be addressing before taking off on the new blaster engine. This modest engine with additional gear should run upper 40's effortlessly with forays to 55mph or more. The second engine is a faster engine. Target top speed for this engine is 65+mph to cruise at 50-55mph with low load on the engine. Big cylinder, big gearing, big rear wheel. Low revs and "high" speed are the name of the game!
The bike in question is a rotary intake Vespa moped engine with a CVT (continuously variable transmission), hydraulic suspension and hydraulic disk brakes adapted from a dirt bike. The grande is the beefiest of vespa mopeds, and this one has been beefed up even further!
